I’ve had the best seniors this year! Well, I seem to have them every year! True story. I’ve been especially excited to show off the beautiful Miss Kaitlyn! She wanted to make the session and experience really special so she had her hair and makeup done by Heidi Walberg at Salon Sashay. Heidi did a fabulous job as always! Kaitlyn looked stunning! We decided to do her session at Itasca State Park. There were so many beautiful locations there, and we were able to photograph her in several outfits. All of her outfits were fun. She choose different looks and colors for all of them. It is always a good idea to pick out outfits that are different so your images aren’t all the same. I especially liked the big belt with all the bling that she wore with her blue plaid shirt. Thank you, Kaitlyn and Heidi, for letting me document such a special time in your life! I hope I made it hard to choose your favorites! 😉
Kayla and Elliot are brave. I have never seen two people fight off so many mosquitoes. You wouldn’t know it from the pictures, but we were dancing and running and slapping at those nasty bugs all throughout the session. Other than that, the session was perfect! Kayla and Elliot are adorable together, and were so much fun to photograph. I was really excited to do their session at Itasca State Park. It is one of my favorite parks around the Bemidji area. It offers so many different backgrounds and unique places to take pictures.
It was also really nice meeting Kayla’s mom who came along for the session. She was AWESOME! She watched my bag, carried props, had great ideas, and was so fun to be around! She also was helping with the mosquito swatting.
Some of my favorite images from this session were the ones including the fun and creative Save The Date ideas. Kayla and Elliot had a flag banner that had their wedding date on it. We also did a chalkboard Save The Date collage at the end. I loved their unique ideas!
I love weddings and I love boats. I never knew I would have a chance to photograph both together! This was a laid back and fun wedding at Itasca State Park. After our arrival and some getting ready pictures, we were off to the Chester Charles II for the ceremony and reception. The scenery off the boat deck was gorgeous, and so was the bride! They complimented each other perfectly.
