LOVE THIS COUPLE! Sarah and Nick put so much energy and thought into their engagement session! The outfits and props and setting were fabulous! Congratulations you guys! I cannot wait to photograph your wedding this fall!
This is the 3rd time I’ve had the privilege of photographing this cute little family. It has been fun watching their little girl grow up, and soon their little boy! I was so excited when the told me the good news! Since it’s winter up here in Northern Minnesota, we decided to do their session inside their home. I’m so glad we did! The colors were gorgeous! Her house if full of rich browns and blues. This is one of the reasons I love taking pictures at client’s homes. It makes their pictures unique and personal. We can incorporate things that have meaning to them. Another huge benefit is that the photos that end up framed on your walls go perfectly with your decor! This was such a fun maternity session!
There are three things I loved about this sesssion. 1. It was for Sarah and her family. Sarah is a fellow photographer and such a sweet person! 2. It was at their home which was absolutely stunning! 3. The family was adorable!
How could I not be excited about this photo shoot?! It was a cold day, and the snow was deep, but everyone hung in there so we could capture some memorable photos!
Andrea contacted me from Boise, Idaho. It was pretty cool, because I grew up in Idaho. I always freak out when I meet people from Idaho, or when I see an Idaho license plate. For some reason I feel like that automatically makes someone family or a best friend. 🙂 So, I was pretty stoked when Andrea e-mailed me. They were planning a surprise birthday party for her mom. All the families were getting together, and they wanted some family pictures. So, here is what we came up with!
The best way to photograph children is in their own environment. I love when kids are able to be themselves and have fun. Here is a shoot I did for little Tommy. I absolutely adore this boy. When I showed up for the shoot, he was acting so shy. He kept running away from me and hiding. I just hung out a while so he could get used to me. Finally he warmed up to me, and I was able to sneak a few shots of him smiling. What a honey!
This last week a member of the Bemidji Chamber contacted me to. They wanted to do an Ambassador Call for my business. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but was excited for the opportunity to meet some new people and maybe run into some old friends.
We met at the Chamber building by Paul and Babe in downtown Bemidji. They usually do it at your place of business, but I do not currently have a studio. We thought that the Chamber building would work just fine. When I got there I was greeted by six friendly faces. I instantly recognized Benita from RiverWood Bank. I had worked with her for many years in the banking industry before I left my job their to become a photographer. It was great to see her again. I also met Ryan with Best of Bemidji. Well, I actually met him about 8 or 9 years ago, but I didn’t recognize him at first. Everyone was so friendly and fun.
One of the things they do with these gatherings is they take a photo of you and the ambassadors to put into the Bemidji Pioneer. It’s free advertising for me! We’ll see what it amounts to. Either way, I really enjoyed everyone and also offered to take a few, quick headshots. Here are the lovely Chamber Ambassadors!
