I’ve had the best seniors this year! Well, I seem to have them every year! True story. I’ve been especially excited to show off the beautiful Miss Kaitlyn! She wanted to make the session and experience really special so she had her hair and makeup done by Heidi Walberg at Salon Sashay. Heidi did a fabulous job as always! Kaitlyn looked stunning! We decided to do her session at Itasca State Park. There were so many beautiful locations there, and we were able to photograph her in several outfits. All of her outfits were fun. She choose different looks and colors for all of them. It is always a good idea to pick out outfits that are different so your images aren’t all the same. I especially liked the big belt with all the bling that she wore with her blue plaid shirt. Thank you, Kaitlyn and Heidi, for letting me document such a special time in your life! I hope I made it hard to choose your favorites! 😉
HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR PICTURES ARE THE BEST! Sometimes being a Bemidji High School Photographer is one of the funnest things about my job! I’m in love with this session below that I took with Anna! Not only is she a beautiful person on the inside and out, but she also has a great sense of style! She totally rocked her session. We even scheduled a second one so we could incorporate her love for piano and soccer. It is so important to document this special time in life. Thank you, Anna, for choosing me to be your Bemidji Portrait Photographer!
Kendall is interested in getting into teen modeling. Her mom and grandma contacted me to set up her session to build her portfolio. We decided to do some in the studio and some outside. The outdoor photos didn’t last as long because it was January in Northern Minnesota. We still were able to get some, but decided to schedule the other session for spring when it was a little warmer.
The second session is the one I’m featuring today. It was so much fun! Kendall had her hair and makeup done by my favorite hair and makeup artist Kaalene. While they were doing that I was at work on making the dress and putting together accessories. I also put some modeling tutorial videos on for Kendall to watch. It was so much fun!
Kaalene joined us the first part of the photo shoot to help with the dress. That’s how awesome she is!
This high school senior drove all the way up from Texas to have her senior photos taken by me! That’s right, and I’m so glad she did! We had an absolute blast! Her beauty was not only outward but inward too! We had a lot of fun trying out a bunch of ideas and locations and outfits. We started in downtown Bemidji with her in a lace dress and boots. Definitely the look right now. We then switched to a beautiful orange patterned dress and went to Bemidji State Park. She was brave enough to even go in the water for our finale! The next day we finished up her session at the Bemidji Softball fields. It was fun to come up with creative and fun poses and ideas to incorporate softball into her images. She was such a great “sport” about it. She even slid to 3rd base for me a few times so I could get some fun sliding shots! Thank you, Olivia, for trusting me enough to document such a special time in your life!
I met Saphire at a local Bemidji restaurant. She was with a girl I had taken pictures for already. We were introduced and Saphire mentioned something about wanting photos done for her new single. I loved her fun ideas and immediately jumped on board! It was a great opportunity to try out some new and fun ideas for photos. I also love incorporating musical instruments into portraits.
I got to know Saphire even better during the shoot. She brought along her sweet mother and some other friends and family. They were great to have around for holding reflectors and lights and the fun company. Saphire brought her guitar to include in some of the photos. I even got to hear her play and sing. This girl is a beauty on the inside and out. She briefly told me about growing up and how she was severely bullied. She now uses her music and gifts as an opportunity to spread her anti-bullying campaign. It was so fun to hear about her faith and how she was able to overcome such hardship. I’m thankful to have met all of them and look forward to doing more photos in the future!

I LOVE to get pictures and announcements in the mail from friends and family. Many times they send them to share a life changing event or to wish us a Merry Christmas. Either way, I love them. So much, in fact, that I have kept every single announcement and Christmas card I have ever received! That’s right! I have a lot of them!
Because I value the importance of announcements and cards, I have decided to offer them to all my customers. Each card is custom designed with much thought and attention by me personally. You pick the photos, and I put together a design to compliment them. This service is offered exclusively to my clients. It is such a fun way for them to share their special photos and memories with friends and family.
Below are some of the designs I have put together. These are printed on a high quality 5″ x 7″ card stock They are great for graduation announcements, birth announcements and Christmas Cards. They are the high end option for someone looking to send the “wow” factor.
These next examples are 4′” x 8″ announcements. These designs are only one sided and printed on photographic paper.
