BEMIDJI PHOTOGRAPHERS UNITE! That’s right! This will be our 2nd annual get together. It is so fun to meet up with other talented artists and discuss our passions, our joys, our frustrations, and our lives!
Someone just asked me today if it’s hard having competition. My response?
I’m glad that there are other photographers around. We all have something different to offer as artists. Clients can shop around for the personality, style and pricing that will fit what they’re looking for! I will even refer potential customers on if I think there is a better fit out there for them. Pictures are so important, and I want to make sure that my clients receive the product and experience that they are looking for.
So, here’s the fun news! For our 2014 get together we decided to do a “shoot-out”. A shoot out is an event where a bunch of photographers put together something to photograph to learn from each other and to hang out. The theme for our shoot out is newborns. We are going to set up a fun day of photographing newborns and eating yummy snacks. So, here’s why I’m writing all of this. I’m looking for one more newborn model. We need a baby that will be about 3-8 days old. This will be a free session for just the baby (no siblings). You will also get some of your digital images from each photographer. Cool, huh?!
So, are any of you expecting around February 10, 2014? Do you know anyone expecting around that time? I would love to connect! Contact me at email@example.com
Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I hope to hear from you!
This girl is one of my favorite girls in the world! I was so blessed to be able to capture the biggest moments in her life! For those of us who know her, it has been so fun watching her fairy tale unfold. The Lord brought her the most amazing husband and now the most amazing little girl! Her little girl is just about the cutest thing you will ever lay your eyes on. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree! 😉 To celebrate my first “complete” love story I put together this little Facebook Cover Photo for her. Enjoy!
This little newborn baby girl is absolutely precious! I was hoping to do some outdoor photos with her, but it was a little too cold and windy on the day of the shoot. We ended up moving it inside which was just as fun! Newborns have a difficult time regulating their temperature. That is why when we do all those naked shots I usually have the family turn the heat up in their house to about 80 degrees. That makes the the baby comfy and sleepy (and sometimes dad too). If you are expecting and are looking for a photographer to take your baby’s photos, I recommend checking out more info on how I do newborn sessions. I love doing newborn photography! Especially when the baby is as sweet as this one! I showed up with all my stuff and quickly realized that I didn’t need much of it. There were so many fun props around their house to use. After I saw Allessandra’s nursery I knew we had to take a few shots in there to begin with. Her mommy had such a creative eye for decorating. There was frame on the wall with the words “All Because Two People Fell in Love” right above the crib. There was also another sign on the wall that said “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, do you know how loved you are.” I loved all the fun details! After that we decided to take some photos with the cute lamb hat and bottom her mom had laid out. I could not get over how cute she was in it. I put her on her little tummy and added one of the lambs from her nursery. I thought it was too perfect, then she smiled to make it even more-so! That ended up being one of my favorite newborn photos of the year! She did so well that we decided to do a couple more setups. We did one with orange and then ended with one with pink fur and a pink flower in a white basket. This little newborn girl was so fun!
This is the 3rd time I’ve had the privilege of photographing this cute little family. It has been fun watching their little girl grow up, and soon their little boy! I was so excited when the told me the good news! Since it’s winter up here in Northern Minnesota, we decided to do their session inside their home. I’m so glad we did! The colors were gorgeous! Her house if full of rich browns and blues. This is one of the reasons I love taking pictures at client’s homes. It makes their pictures unique and personal. We can incorporate things that have meaning to them. Another huge benefit is that the photos that end up framed on your walls go perfectly with your decor! This was such a fun maternity session!
