It’s so mind blowing when two people from opposite sides of the world find each other. Angela, my bride, is from our little area of Northern Minnesota. Sanjog, the groom, is all the way from Nepal. Even though they are from two different worlds they still made their way to the same one.
It was exciting to see how Angela and Sanjog interlaced their different cultures and ideas into their wedding. In many ways it was a traditional American wedding with pops of the colorful Nepal traditions. The bride wore a beautiful white wedding dress, but her bridesmaids were adorned in bright pink sarees. At the reception they also brought in a talented Henna artist to adorn the guests with henna tattoos. Another Nepal tradition they incorporated were origami lotus flowers with thank you notes rolled inside.
Overall it was a beautiful wedding surrounded by friends and family. Thank you, Angela and Sanjog for choosing me to photograph such a special day!
