I met Saphire at a local Bemidji restaurant. She was with a girl I had taken pictures for already. We were introduced and Saphire mentioned something about wanting photos done for her new single. I loved her fun ideas and immediately jumped on board! It was a great opportunity to try out some new and fun ideas for photos. I also love incorporating musical instruments into portraits.
I got to know Saphire even better during the shoot. She brought along her sweet mother and some other friends and family. They were great to have around for holding reflectors and lights and the fun company. Saphire brought her guitar to include in some of the photos. I even got to hear her play and sing. This girl is a beauty on the inside and out. She briefly told me about growing up and how she was severely bullied. She now uses her music and gifts as an opportunity to spread her anti-bullying campaign. It was so fun to hear about her faith and how she was able to overcome such hardship. I’m thankful to have met all of them and look forward to doing more photos in the future!
